Review Adult and Pediatric FA/CPR/AED through Medicert  LLC’s

Registered Nurse and American Red Cross Instructor..Both Lay and Professional Responder ARC classes offered

Dog's at River 049Objective: Community – Our basic CPR course covers rescue breathing, obstructed airway management, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in Adults, Children, and Infants as well as Basic First Aid. This course meets OSHA standards. Download the handouts below in advance to study and know prior to class. Class will consist of video, hands on experience with adult, child, and infant manikins with discussion of answers. Discuss with your state licensee or employer if they will accept Medicert LLC card which covers both AHA and ARC standards or if you need American Red Cross cards and then pay accordingly.

Course length: 2-3 hours

Class Size: Limited to 10 participants for American Red Cross and up to 20 for Medicert LLC certification

Fee: $85/pp for American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Review ($750 for group of 10) or $60/pp for Medicert LLC training (Religiously Exempt Day Cares). Ask licensing which class do you need. No refunds. Included in this American Red Cross charge is the $27/per student that trainers get charged.

Schedule: Every Tuesday class offered at 6 PM by appointment at Wellesley Home Theater or will come to you for full classes of 8-10 at time that is convenient…

Location: Directions_Home_Theater . I also have classes available near Tappahannock, VA. & hold classes at your work with 10 students and appointment

Certification: 2 years for CPR/First Aid/AED.

Pre-Class Checklist

  1. Make sure your spot is paid for by check or paypal to secure your registration. Only allowed 10 students in ARC class and up to 20 for Medicert Class.
  2. Printed out directions. Doors lock when class starts. Arrive 15 minutes early to register.
  3. Every student must have prerequisite training forms (handouts below) printed out and review the information prior to coming to class. Bring forms to class to discuss.
  4. You may bring food and drink as long as food is not crunchy and noisy and drink does not spill.
  5. Bring pencil to take notes.
  6. Make sure Jill Durand at 12232 Valleybrook Dr. Henrico, VA 23233 has list of names of all students taking this course spelled correctly for their certificates

The BLS steps to use in CPR should be placed in section of your First Aid Guide For School Emergencies flip chart from VDSS in place of old CPR standards.

Additional Information Need to print and know prior to class:

1.With ARC initially you check breathing not pulse. The emphasis is on quick assessment and getting to compressions as needed. …… Open airway…….look, listen, feel for breathing for 10 seconds. No longer check pulse. Order of assessment is:  ABC… ( airway, breathing & then circulation)
 2. With AHA you check pulse if no pulse start compressions and you do not check breathing therfore their initial order of assessment is CAB..(circulation, airway & then breathing).
3. With both AHA and ARC you do 30 compressions and 2 breaths until too exhausted to go on or until help arrives or until they are revived and in that case you turn them on their side.
