Medication Administration Training: MATIS, RENEWAL, Diabetic II:

 

Classes are usually offered every Thursday evening at 3 PM or 6 PM with appointment

Prerequisites: MUST BE AT LEAST 18 Y.O. & ABLE TO READ AND WRITE IN ENGLISH AND HAVE TAKEN PART 1 ONLINE AT

Part 1 valid for 6 months. ANY ISSUES WITH PART 1 OR NOT RECEIVING YOUR OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER completing PART II CLASS PLEASE CONTACT SUPPORT@MAT.FRESHDESK.COM

MATIS Part 1

 

(For first timers and for people that took MAT RENEWAL LAST TIME OR LET THEIR MAT CERTIFICATE EXPIRE MORE THAN 90 DAYS).

Print out your part 1 certificate & bring to part II class.

MAT IS covers administering oral liquids and tablets, inhaler and nebulizer, ear and eye medications, topical medications and EpiPen epinephrine auto-injector.

REQUIRED HANDOUTS: You will need the MAT IS Handouts while taking this online course. You don’t need to print the handouts – you can save them on your computer for your reference during the Part 1 online course.

I recommend watching all videos BUT YOU MUST WATCH VIDEO 21: Demonstrating Medication Administration Skills to be prepared.

Print out your part 1 certificate & bring to part II class. ALSO BRING ORIGINAL MAT CERTIFICATE

MAT Diabetic Training II:

 

Person Self-Administering an Injecting in the Arm

Course Length: approximately 5 hours*

 Where: Scheduled with groups of 4 at Wellesley Home Theater

Fee: $155/per person.

Certification: 3 years

Course Prerequisites & Class Checklist:

1. At least 18 years of age or older with ID BRING PROOF OF ID TO CLASS

2. Able to read and write in English and able to perform calculations and free of needle or blood phobias.

3. VALID MAT Certificate & Diabetic Part 1 Certificate, VALID CPR and First Aid (hands-on practice and testing )

4. Registered and paid for class in advance or I will not be expecting you. (Only allowed 4 in class so fills up fast)

5.  BRING BAG LUNCH AND DRINK also pencil & highlighter

6.  I HAVE MAT Diabetes Handouts while taking part II course.

You may need your own handouts for the Part 1 class; if so you can print the (105 page) MAT Diabetes Handouts, or you can order them from the MAT Online Store (please allow 2 weeks for delivery).

The Diabetes Part 1 online course is split into 18 modules which average about 8 minutes long that need to be completed and student needs to bring this certificate to class so print out immediately upon completion.
